Forward La Crosse Releases Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update; Final Meeting Dates Announced at Forwardlacrosse.org
La Crosse, WI (June 2024): After extensive community engagement and public input, Forward La Crosse releases the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update. Final meeting dates are now announced at Forwardlacrosse.org.
Over the past year, the City has updated the 2012 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan to enhance the bicycle and pedestrian transportation network throughout La Crosse. The La Crosse Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan includes comprehensive sections including Vision and Goals, Existing Conditions, Community Engagement Outcomes, Strategies and Actions, Network Recommendations, and Implementation.
“The campaign’s objective was to revise the City’s 2012 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, aiming to enhance bicycle and pedestrian transportation infrastructure and education across the City of La Crosse. Additionally, it sought to uphold and enhance its recognition by the League of American Bicyclists as a silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community. Community involvement was essential to ensure our plans reflect the diverse needs and preferences of all residents.” – Jenna Dinkel, Associate Planner, City of La Crosse Planning and Development
