Downtown Thursday Nights
Live, local music is a vibrant and essential component of many communities, and Tomah, Wisconsin is no exception. One community hotspot for live music is Tomah’s summer pop-up street concert series, Downtown Thursday Nights. Presented by the Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center, Downtown Thursday Nights features free admission, live music, food and drink vendors, beer booths, and a Kid Zone with face painting, caricatures, balloon animals, and bounce houses. The concert series runs the first three Thursday evenings of July and August from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, showcasing different bands each night. Tomah has a range of other live music hotspot destinations that feature musical talents all year long, too.
The Monroe County Fair is a five-day farm, animal, and fair extravaganza held at the Tomah Recreation Park-Fairgrounds during July. The event is an exciting gathering of local farmers, crafters, vendors, and performers coming together to showcase their talents and offerings, and it is the perfect summer event for all ages. Visitors to the Monroe County Fair can expect to see a range of exhibits such as agricultural displays, livestock shows, vendors, and rodeos. Some popular events include the Butterfly Encounter and the Antique Tractor Show. And the fair wouldn’t be complete without carnival rides, games, live musical performances, and food stands selling classic fair favorites like cotton candy, funnel cakes, and corn dogs. The Monroe County Fair is a great way to experience the local culture and traditions of Tomah and to enjoy a fun-filled summer day with friends and family.
